Information to Taxpayers

With the economic struggles our area is experiencing we need to work together to help those in our township. To make it easier we do accept partial payments on your taxes. Also, feel free to call our office with any questions or concerns you may have. We are here to serve you.

Receipts are sent only if payment is accompanied by a

self-addressed stamped envelope.

For your convenience we stay open through lunch hours.  Occasionally it may be unavoidable that we close for lunch and we apologize for any inconvenience that may cause.

Our goal is to serve you, so if you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us anytime.

Tax Deferments

The summer tax deferment is a beneficial tax break for certain people over the age of  62. This provides those with a household income of not more than $25,000 for the preceding year the benefit of deferring summer property taxes until February 15 of the following year. The benefit of this procedure is that it usually gives sufficient time for state income tax refund checks to be received by the senior to be used to pay the summer property taxes. This is done by applying Now Accepting Payments On-Line

You can use this service to pay taxes, waste cards, sewer bills, and building (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, zoning) permits
Please select the bill you would like to pay.

Michigan State Law requires that all dogs over four (4) months old be licensed.

We will be selling dog licenses from December 1 thru February 28. The County Treasurer's office sells licenses all year. We can only sell to persons that have a valid rabies certificate for their dog and a proof of spayed or neutering if applicable, from a veterinarian.

If dogs are found and have a Dog License tag on, we can locate the owner by the number on the tag.
